More by me

Just to add to the Amanda-centric, egotistical nature of the blog, I thought I'd post links to other Portuguese-related things I've written. I hope that in time the list will grow to include more fun things, so feel free to check back occasionally (and also feel free not to).

2016
I now have a webpage, which is here. You can follow all my academic exploits from there. In particular, on the 'Research' page you can find a poster I produced summing up the research I did while in Salvador in 2015.

2015
Another piece for All Abroad magazine, this time about Brazil, which you can find here.

2014
As well as starting my blog, I wrote an article for All Abroad magazine, a new online platform for Oxford year abroad students. It was published in February 2015, here.

2013
I spent part of the summer in Coimbra doing a Portuguese language course at the university. The Portuguese sub-faculty at Oxford recommends that all students improve their abilities on a course of this type between the first and second years. I wrote a report about my experiences in Coimbra, which was subsequently published on Merton College's website, here.

2012
My translation of Fernando Pessoa's 'Abdicação' was a joint winner in the 18 and under category of the Times Stephen Spender Prize for poetry in translation (a bit of a mouthful!). You can read my translation and commentary here.

I've also written loads of university essays about Portuguese literature and linguistics, but I very much doubt anyone wants to read those, and they aren't published online anyway. But feel free to contact me if you want to talk about any aspect of Portuguese!
